Journalism

During my freshman year, I applied to take a journalism course and was an editor for our school’s yearbook.

Volunteering at a Rehab Center

As mutual trust between the trainees and I formed, I was able to understand and support them better as a trainer, being more keen on picking up what they were putting down.

In the summer of my junior year, I got the chance to volunteer as a trainer at a physical rehab center aimed to help people with physical disabilities retain a degree of movement. The trainees at the center were all assigned a trainer in case of emergency.

During my time working, through making connections and conversing with the trainees to get to know them better I was able to grasp a higher understanding of what type of exercises would best suit each person.
